The recently released joint resolution set out a framework for what a "Green New Deal" would include in order to reframe the USA economy and shift the country away from fossil fuels, with an eye to combating climate change.

The document introduced last week marked the first formal attempt by lawmakers to define legislation to create big government-led investments in clean energy, infrastructure and social programs.
