LIAM Neeson's nephew has died surrounded by his family in Cushendall, Co Antrim, five years after suffering horrific injuries in a 20ft fall while on a night out with friends.

His death comes five years after he fell 20 feet off of a phone booth in England during a late night out with friends, People reports.

Sexton was taken to a nearby hospital where he was in critical condition at the time and later transferred to a specialist neurological center.

Parish priest Fr Luke McWilliams told the Belfast Telegraph on Tuesday that the family had asked for privacy as they mourn their loss.

The Parent Trap star also passed away following a fall, after she hit her head during a skiing trip in Quebec.

Almost 10 years ago, Neeson - the 66-year-old star of the "Taken" films, lost his actress wife Natasha Richardson, who died of a head injury suffered during a skiing accident in Canada.

She initially appeared fine and joked about the fall, telling Neeson: "Oh darling".

And the Taken actor later explained her death "still doesn't feel real". Her mother, sons Michael and Daniel, as well as Neeson were by her side. His family was reportedly present during his time of death. And if that doesn't make your heart hurt, we don't know what will.
