Baltimore Ravens players who need to step up against the Browns

Antonio Brown and Lamar Jackson

Mayfield set the National Football League rookie record for touchdown passes with 27 on the 1-yard TD pass to Callaway that pulled the Browns to within 26-24 with 3:24 left in the game.

After the Cleveland Browns scored a touchdown to go ahead 7-3 in the first quarter Sunday, Jackson responded by driving Baltimore down the field and capping it with a 25-yard run. The Browns took a major risk drafting the prolific, but undersized, quarterback from Oklahoma first overall, but they clearly don't have many reasons to think they made a mistake so far. Down by nine points with seven minutes left, Cleveland got within a few yards of moving in position for a game-winning field goal in the final minute.

Asked if he wanted to see changes in the coaching staff, Mayfield didn't speak directly about Williams, but said: "The changes we made speak for themselves".

The Baltimore Ravens flipped the script and put one heck of an ending on a regular season that featured countless surprises and plot twists. Cleveland benefited from multiple replay reviews on catches, including an impressive sideline grab from former Ravens first-round draft pick Breshad Perriman. The offense came out firing with scores on its first four possessions, but not before Jimmy Smith intercepted Baker Mayfield for the first time on only the game's fourth play from scrimmage. The best record the Browns can finish with is 8-7-1 which would not be enough for Cleveland to punch a ticket to the postseason. The rookie quarterback has 51 passing yards and 51 rushing yards with no signs of slowing down. The problem was, it cost Peppers a fumble recovery for a touchdown that would've pulled the Browns to within 20-14 just before the half.

A Browns defender knocked the ball loose, but officials called the play a touchdown on the field that would have given the Ravens a 26-7 lead in the second quarter. "At least we got the ball back". His second interception was answered later with a 48 yard TD pass to Jarvis Landry. The Browns miss out on their first winning season since 2007. "It's a playoff team", Mayfield said. "You saw all the energy and all the drive and all the continued supporting each other". They had to win to secure another game in Baltimore.
