After the launch of Fortnite's Season 7 update, one player chose to take a trip down memory lane and see how much of the map has changed over the game's lifespan. Not only that, but the arrival of season 7 also marks the launch of Fortnite Creative, a new game mode that was officially revealed yesterday. As you can see from the chilling trailer above, a wintery theme has struck the island with all of the usual colourful chaos present.
The map changes are some of the biggest we've seen since the beginning of Fortnite.
Epic said it's taking a holiday break, so it's extending Season 7 by two weeks. While we've been unable at this time to get online and check them out, the patch notes list the new map as featuring an iceberg biome, new locations Frosty Flights, Polar Peak, and Happy Hamlet.
A new item type was also added: Wraps! Credit for the map goes to the reddit user so give him a shout if you want.
Any new season wouldn't be complete without the arrival of new skins, which include Santa-a-like character "Sergeant Winter" and The Ice King. Shadow Stones, Port-a-Forts, Chillers, Clingers, the Double Barrel Shotgun and Shockwave Grenade have all been vaulted (Epic says it helps it avoid duplicates or overlapping functionality).
It's hard to say how all these new changes will affect the game and how players will take to the game-changing new ways to travel.
