Manchester City and Manchester United resume their rivalry on Sunday when the two city foes go head-to-head in Premier League play.

United came from a goal down to win 2-1 in Turin on Wednesday, handing the Old Lady their first defeat of the season in all competitions.

But you've got to admit, that still is pretty amusing from the England global. But United have been assembled at great expense by a succession of managers since Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement in 2013, yet they are inhibited, cautious and hard to watch.

He wrote: "Our opponent was red, we heard the away fans boo, we're twelve points ahead, And just like violets, Manchester is blue". And all of that is down to the man who picks the team and devises the tactics.

This season, City have continued where they left off, regaining their position at the top of the tree, while United have endured a woeful start to the season.

Fernandinho, who also made the move from Shakhtar, is the man who makes City tick. The pressure is on City as they are expected to win. However, he has been a crucial part of his team's recent rediscovery of form, even contributing a goal and an assist in United's recent 2-1 victory over Everton.

Substitute Ilkay Gundogan added to the lead on 86 minutes to complete a move of 42 passes, which once more exposed the gulf in class between the two sides.

United now sit eighth in the Premier League table, seven points behind Tottenham in fourth.

A rather hard run of fixtures for the Red Devils will conclude with an away match against Manchester City in the Premier League.

"I think it is not a bad performance at all". It was a performance with mistakes and we paid for it.

United head into the worldwide break seven points behind fourth placed Tottenham, with a vastly inferior goal difference as they are the only team in the top half of the Premier League table with a negative goal difference, conceding one more goal than they have scored so far this season. After all, no manager will ever say that his team lost because of the tactics or players that he selected.

Mourinho chose Fellaini, Ander Herrera and Matic in the midfield and three of his fastest players up front: Lingard, Martial and Rashford.

Despite having a quiet game, Martial stepped up and confidently converted from the spot after Romelu Lukaku won a penalty. The team appeared to be headed toward a defeat before Juan Mata scored on a free kick inthe 86th minute.
