Britain's Prince Charles Prince of Wales is making his first visit to The Gambia

Charles and Camilla receive official welcome as their West African tour begins

Continuing her current trend of rewearing pieces that she's stepped out in before, Kate's classic midi dress, with elegant flute sleeves and a modern shoulder shape, was first seen on the Duchess during her official visit to Canada in 2016.

Prince Charles of Wales first visited Ghana since 1977. According to him, it was a memorable experience that he and his wife look forward to reliving.

Prince Charles said The Gambia's re-entry was an "important milestone" as the former British colony chose to turn its back on twenty years of Jammeh's rule. "I am sure these five days that you are going to be here will be a memorable time for both of you", said President Akufo-Addo, at the seat of the Presidency. "Some of them were happy, some of them not so happy". So we are very happy to have you here. "It's a relationship that we value", Nana Akufo-Addo said.

Their five-day visit will be jam-packed.

Britain's Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall have attended a dubar - a traditional celebration of leaders - as part of their visit to Ghana.

Prince Charles visited the Gambian Armed Forces Training School to meet with the Chief of the Defence Staff and attend an worldwide human rights lesson.

They were met by government officials with the Speaker of Parliament, Prof Mike Ocquaye spearheading the delegation.

The tour will celebrate the U.K.'s dynamic, forward-looking partnership with these Commonwealth nations on a range of shared priorities. "But it's the many and varied links between our people's which make our ties so unique".

The Prince of Wales and his wife have started their tour of West Africa in Gambia, which was re-admitted into the Commonwealth in February this year.
