The crossover, titled "Elseworlds," is scheduled to begin December 9 with The Flash, followed by Arrow on December 10, then Supergirl on December 11. Staying true to the comics, Ruby is rocking fiery red hair and Batwoman's signature suit in the first look of Ruby in the costume. This gorgeous version of the costume was designed by none other than frequent Tim Burton collaborator and four-time Oscar-winner Colleen Atwood! As you can see the costuming is both in line with the Arrowverse designs and her comic book look, keeping the red detailing while rolling in a less spandexy cloth.
Batwoman, also known as Kate Kane, will also be getting her own show in 2019. The character is described as a hero with a flair for social justice who isn't afraid to speak her mind.
"Where on earth did "Ruby is not a lesbian therefore she can't be batwoman" (sic) come from-has to be the funniest most ridiculous thing I've ever read". In addition to Rose's Batwoman, the crossover will also feature the return of Tyler Hoechlin's Superman as well as introducing Elizabeth Tulloch as Lois Lane and Cassandra Jean Amell as Nora Fries. The character of Kate Kane is a lesbian, and some Twitterers didn't know that Rose was too.
The Arrowverse three-way crossover begins Sunday, Dec. 8 at 8/7c on The CW. "But hey/ love a challenge I just wish women and the LGBT community supported each other more, My wish was we were all a little kinder and more supportive of each other..."
