Barbara Bush, one of the twin daughters of former President George W. Bush, married actor and screenwriter Craig Coyne in a private ceremony in Kennebunkport, Maine, on Sunday, according to Fox News. Jenna phoned in to America's Today show on Monday where she revealed she was still crying tears of joy 24 hours after watching her sister tie the knot.
Bush shared a photo from the wedding on Instagram, sharing a shot of him walking his daughter down the aisle.
George Bush paid tribute to his late mother, Barbara Bush, in the post, writing that his daughter and mother share similar traits. Although Bush stepped down in January, she will continue to be the board chair.
"Barbara is named for a unique and strong woman - and rightly so, because she is unique and strong". "Laura and I are so proud of our compassionate, daring, fierce, kind, intelligent, loving daughter. And we're thrilled to welcome Craig Coyne to our family", he wrote in his caption.
Laura Bush called it "a wonderful day". He reportedly dropped to one knee in the very spot where Barbara's grandparents got engaged nearly exactly 75 years earlier, in August 1943. "A very short, sweet ceremony", the 36-year-old twin tells the magazine of the vows spoken before 20 family members, including a pair of former presidents.
Meanwhile, photographer Morse also shared a photo of the newlywed couple on Instagram shortly after they were pronounced husband and wife.
Dorothy Bush Koch, the bride's aunt, officiated the wedding. The bride wore a custom light ivory Vera Wang wedding dress with spaghetti strap detail and a cowl draped neckline.
