Thomas had picked off his second pass of the day and the crowd at CenturyLink Field was going insane.
"I'm investing in myself", the ninth-year veteran added. It just so happened that the Cowboys were in town to face the Seahawks on Sunday, with Seattle dominating and coming out victorius. "Even pregame, a couple Cowboys coaches came up to me, I don't know if they were playing psychological games, but they were like, 'You ready for the trade tomorrow?'"
The 29-year-old Thomas had been very vocal about his desire for a new deal as he enters the final season of a four-year, $40 million contract and is set to make $8.5 million in 2018. "But if I feel like anything, I don't give a damn if it's small, I've got a headache, I'm not practicing".
After the game, Thomas indicated that several Cowboys coaches told him the team would be trading for him on Monday.
"I don't know if they were joking or not", Thomas said.
"I had no idea [I was out of bounds]", Elliott said. "Me being a leader on the team, me being a better player on this team, I got to do a better job of taking care of the ball".
