Speaking to American radio host Sway Calloway, Eminem revealed, "Somebody sends me a screenshot of his Twitter and it says "had some s**t to get my chest, you just rap you're not God", which was a reference to Eminem's song "Rap God".
"Because in my quest to hurt him, I realise that I was hurting a lot of other people by saying it..."
As production continued on the album, Eminem, 45, realized he was uncomfortable with the slur, so he tried to make it harder to hear. The 27-year-old didn't specifically mention the song in his tweet.
Eminem knows when he takes things "too far", which is why he's issuing a mea culpa to fellow rapper Tyler, the Creator.
Machine Gun Kelly dropped a diss track two days after Kamikaze hit the store shelves, in which he accused Eminem of being old, bitter, and no longer relevant in today's culture. So I sat back and I'm like, 'Ok, that's fine, ' people can talk insane about me, that's fine, they should express themselves and they have a right to. "/ Little white toothpick / Thinks it's over a pic, I just don't like you, prick / Thanks for dissing me", Em continues.
"I was angry when I said that s- about Tyler", he said.
'I don't give a fuck about your career.
The line to which he refers is: "Cause Agent Orange just sent the Secret Service/To meet in person to see if I really think of hurtin" him/Or ask if I'm linked to terrorists/I said, "Only when it comes to ink and lyricists'".
"First what he said "I'm the greatest rapper alive since my favourite rapper banned me from Shade 45" or whatever he said, right?" "Got more fans than you in your own city, lil' kiddy / Go play, feel like I'm babysitting Lil Tay", he spits. Like I'm trying to hinder his career. You know how many fucking rappers are better than you?
