Rapper Mac Miller has died of an apparent overdose, TMZ reports.
On Friday (September 7), TMZ reported that Miller had passed away after suffering an alleged overdose in his San Fernando Valley home.
Rapper Wiz Khalifa, who like Miller grew up in Pittsburgh and was close to him, tweeted on Friday: "Praying for Mac's family and that he rest easy". "I was so f*cked up all the time it was bad", said Miller.
"I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety and prayed for him for years", she explained, noting Miller's struggles with drug use.
Miller, 26, had publicly spoken about his battles with addiction over the years, but was in the midst of a career resurgence with the recent release of his fifth album, "Swimming".
Grande then added: "I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be".
The couple's separation became public knowledge this May after Miller was arrested for allegedly crashing his vehicle while drunk and then fleeing the scene on foot.
A family statement released through his publicists says Miller died but no further details were available on how he died. The album debuted in the third spot on the Billboard 200 chart. "There was this time when I was the most Googled thing on the internet".
Others insinuated that Ariana's choice to leave him for Pete Davidson, the Saturday Night Live star, led him to take drugs.
In his last post on Twitter, he told his almost 9million followers: "I just wanna go on tour".
"Of course I didn't share how hard or scary it was while it was happening but it was".
If it is an emergency or you, or someone you know, is at risk call 111. I wish it started tomorrow. On Thursday he tweeted: "I just wanna go on tour".
