The combination of Gabonese striker Pierre Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette up front was superb for the Gunners in this match at the Cardiff City stadium.

The only new addition who didn't have a full pre-season was Torreira due to his excursions in Russian Federation, yet 10 minutes after coming on as a substitute for Matteo Guendouzi the combative 22-year-old provided a flawless assist for Alexandre Lacazette to secure a hard fought win at the Cardiff City Stadium.

However, Arsenal then beat West Ham 2-1 at home before following that up by securing their second victory of the season yesterday when they overcame Cardiff 3-2 in a dramatic encounter in South Wales.

Emery started Aubameyang, Lacazette and Mesut Ozil together for the first time, with Ozil returning after an illness last week, Henrikh Mkhitaryan beginning on the bench and Alex Iwobi ill and out of the matchday squad.

'I'm happy with Arsenal.

"It's always going to be hard to be in the first XI at a club like this, but I always keep fighting and working".

The Frenchman Lacazette believes will time the Gunners will get it right but with a prize as they have won twice and lost to Chelsea and Manchester City. "Everyone can take pleasure to watch us play", he said. So, we know everything.

"We just make mistakes because we are learning like children". We will be better week after week. An away win before the global break is just the tonic for a side who only managed one victory on the road in the second half of last season.

"Yes it is good and important to win away".
