Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has revealed that while Cesc Fabregas" current injury is not "serious" there has been no significant improvement in his recovery as he continues to find it "impossible' to run.
I'm really very happy with my players at the moment.
Experienced defender Cahill has been omitted from the squad for all three of Chelsea's Premier League matches so far this season - wins over Huddersfield, Arsenal and Newcastle, which means the 32-year-old is set to be stripped of the honour despite this being his eighth season at Stamford Bridge.
Hazard has been in good form for Maurizio Sarri's side so far this season despite him being one of the latest players to return to Chelsea FC following his involvement in the World Cup with Belgium. "So we changed the position and in the new position I think he needs to improve". We go to Chelsea and we know how hard the game is going to be. They are very organised defensively, and defended very well. Last season they ended three places lower and with two fewer points, but Howe regarded convincing top-flight consolidation for a third consecutive campaign as their best achievement yet.
"The first half, the situation was hard".
He is very useful for me, first of all, but also for his team-mates.
But Howe believes Chelsea are a very different proposition this season.
"I think that now, for us it's better to think about the next match", he said.
"In the first half it was very hard to play - we needed to move the ball at a higher speed - but it wasn't easy".
But everything appears to be going right for Sarri at the moment and his decision to introduce Pedro in the 65th minute was rewarded when the Spaniard struck the opening goal just seven minutes later.
Chelsea, though, had also demonstrated a degree of vulnerability at the back, particularly when Callum Wilson was left unmarked as he met Rico's 30th minute cross, only to divert the ball wide.
