If I'm Impeached 'Everybody Would be Very Poor' And 'Markets Would Crash'

Michael Cohen Will be Disbarred in New York Soon Due to Guilty Plea

Michael Cohen admits under oath Trump told him to break electoral law

Two executives of the company that publishes the National Enquirer were granted immunity by prosecutors investigating payments arranged by U.S. President Donald Trump's former personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, to silence two women who said they had sex with Trump, the Wall Street Journal and Vanity Fair reported on Wednesday.

"I don't think any president has ever done what I've done in this short - we haven't even been two years", Trump said in an interview with "Fox & Friends" host Ainsley Earhardt. "You would see - you would see numbers that you wouldn't believe in reverse".

"You know, I guess it says something like "high crimes" and all".

Michael Cohen used to serve as Trump's personal lawyer, but has recently found himself in a whirlwind of legal battles.

'You could only impeach him for political reasons and the American people would revolt against that'.

She has said that while she respects Pelosi's desire to focus on "public policy", she would continue to push for impeachment, saying she is with the 70 percent of Democrats who want Trump impeached.

But an unchastened Trump appears intent on riding out the storm as Washington grapples with the latest upheaval in his tumultuous presidency. Trump also boasted about the state of the economy since his election.

Allies of the president stressed an untested legal theory that a sitting president can not be indicted - only impeached.

In entering a guilty plea, Cohen said the payments were made "in coordination with and at the direction of a candidate for federal office", in clear reference to Trump.

Cohen pleaded guilty Tuesday to campaign-finance violations and other charges and implicated the president in his wrongdoing.

"In fact, I watched a number of [TV] shows". "It nearly ought to be outlawed".

Trump then said the hush payments were financed with his own money - to which Cohen had access - and that while he had no knowledge of them at the time, he had since been fully transparent.

Trump's former personal lawyer has information of interest to special counsel Robert Mueller handling the Russian Federation probe.

It is the party's main argument to voters ahead of elections in which Democrats are expected to regain control of one, and possibly both, houses of Congress in November.

"Having an affair and lying about it with a porn star and a Playboy bunny is not impeachable", Fleischer said, "it's Donald Trump".

The FBI raided Cohen's home, office, and hotel room in April, which led investigators to look into the lawyer's professional life and financial activity.
