Honda Civic Receives New Styling, Sport Trim

2019 Honda Civic standardizes safety, sprouts Sport trim

India-bound Honda Civic facelift revealed

Cumulative sales of the current generation Civic will surpass one million units this year. New wheel designs round off the styling updates on the returning trims, with 18-inch rims now the norm for the Touring model.

The 2019 Honda Civic features some very mild styling updates. Civic Sport's increased attitude comes from a piano black lower front fascia, side pod accents and, for Sedan, an added rear decklid spoiler, plus a splitter-style rear lower bumper incorporating a chrome polygonal exhaust finisher similar to Civic Si.

The new Sport trim for the US-market is positioned between the base model LX and the EX, and is available for both Sedan and Coupe bodies.

There is still no word as to when the Philippines will get the 2019 model Honda Civic.

The Honda Civic is entering its third model year after starting off its 10th generation with a bang, and it's seen fit to shove a few more tricks up its compact car's sleeves.

Going into details of the 2019 MY Civic, those without a keen eye would proably have a hard time looking for the changes.

The Sport model also gets an updated 7-inch display audio system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard, and all models get a volume knob, because Honda's engineers finally listened to the anguish of journalists and buyers alike while attempting to use the previous capacitive touch volume slider. It looks the same to us, but Honda says that the LED and halogen headlights have been updated. This package includes automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane departure warning and adaptive cruise control. That vehicle gets a 2.0L 16-valve DOHC i-VTEC engine with a CVT auto or 6-speed manual.
