Reliable French news outlet L'Equipe reports that Lyon will sell Nabil Fekir this summer at the right price and it remains to be seen whether or not Liverpool will meet their valuation of the playmaker. So I still feel I need a proper season of playing. We don't know what will happen in the future but I am very happy at Lyon. "We live well and I hope that Lyon will have a great season". The attacking midfielder was on the verge of completing the move to the Merseyside club, he even completed LFC TV interview and chose his shirt number but the failed medical prompted the Reds to sit on the negotiation table with Lyon President Aulas once again. But the transfer window is still long and everything goes very fast in football. I am very happy here.
"We involved him a lot in our build-up, but we need to get used to that a little bit more still - that's clear, [and] he needs to get used to it a little bit more, but there were a lot of good build-up situations, so that helps".
"There is a good group, very homogeneous".
It seems like the Fekir saga to Liverpool is not finished yet. Despite spending over £180m on four new players this summer, Jurgen Klopp suggested over the weekend that further signings may be possible at Liverpool.
At the time a statement on the Lyon website said: "Transfer negotiations with Liverpool and Nabil Fekir for the transfer of the captain of OL have not succeeded and Olympique Lyonnais have made a decision to put an end to this negotiation tonight".
A successful campaign in Russian Federation with France has seen the 24-year-old's value skyrocket and it would now make much more sense to wait another 12 months to sign Fekir as the Reds did with Naby Keïta.
