George Clooney Hospitalized After Scary Scooter Crash In Italy: Is He OK?

Hollywood legend George Clooney sustained minor injuries after being involved in an accident while riding a motorized scooter in Sardinia, Italy on Tuesday morning, according to local media.

The Cloons was taken to Sardinia's John Paul II Hospital, and reportedly suffered bruising on his leg, arm and. pelvis. According to Clooney, he was going about 65 miles per hour, nothing ridiculous, when a vehicle cut him off, hitting him head-on.

The actor was taken via ambulance to a local hospital and released later the same day.

The Ocean's Eleven actor hurt his leg when a Mercedes auto allegedly turned without giving right of way and collided with his scooter, Italian press agency AGI said.

Clooney's rep has since told ET: "George was treated and released from an Olbia hospital. MRI was negative, and he is not seriously injured".

Italian media reported that Clooney was knocked off his bike by a auto and taken to a local hospital. George arrived in Italy with his family in late June, where they will be based while he films his new TV show.

As fans may already be aware, George Clooney, whose property is in Lake Como, has been staying on the Italian island while shooting his upcoming series titled Catch 22. "He is recovering at his home and will be fine".

The couple have also been joined by George's parents, Nina and Nick Clooney, and Amal's mother Baria Alamuddin.

According to some sources, Clooney was on his way to the set of Catch-22 at the time of the accident.
