Mr. DiSabato said the abuse perpetrated by the convicted former Olympics gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar had prompted him to alert Ohio State about Dr. Strauss in late March.
Jordan rebuked the allegations this week in an interview with Politico, saying he "never knew about any type of abuse".
Shawn Dailey told NBC News he was groped several times by the team physician Dr. Richard Strauss.
He added, "We not only stand by him, but believe him to be a man of character and honor, and Congress would be well served to have more Jim Jordans serving on Capitol Hill". Jordan's rep countered this, demanding "that they send us the supposed communication" and noting Jordan remains "willing to assist".
Rep Jordan's spokesman said Thursday the Republican is working with investigators to set up a meeting.
"Jim Jordan is a world-caliber athlete who is very aggressive in his actions. he's a bulldog, let's be honest", DiSabato said. "The accusations that have been made by these couple of people who I don't know are...not consistent with the Jim Jordan I've come to know and admire and certainly not consistent what Jim espouses every day when nobody's looking", Meadows said, speaking with the Washington Examiner.
Ohio State has not released details about the claims but said more than 150 former students and witnesses have been interviewed so far.
"I participated with Jimmy and the other wrestlers in locker-room talk about Strauss".
But Jordan disputes reports that he ignored an interview request from a law firm the university has employed to investigate the abuse claims.
Fury said Jordan's office was unable to locate any messages from Trafford.
Dailey said it was "hurtful" Jordan is denying any knowledge of the alleged abuse.
