In 33 games with Alabama, the former USA Under-17 MVP posted averages of 19.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists on 50% shooting and 34% from the beyond the arc.

Altman was also asked whether he felt as if the Cavs are capable of positioning themselves to beat the Golden State Warriors should they get back to the NBA Finals for a fifth straight year with James next June. He's confident, a proven scorer and he addresses a major need for the Cavs, who traded All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving to Boston past year and spent all season trying to replace him.

Collin Sexton was in attendance at Quicken Loans Arena as the Golden State Warriors finished off the sweep of the Cavs earlier this month.

James has spent this week on a family vacation and the Cavaliers approached the draft without knowing his intentions.

On Thursday, the Cavs had the 8th overall draft pick, choosing Collin Sexton, one of the most dynamic guards in the country. Their best chance at such a deal would seem to have involved the eighth pick in the draft, which didn't happen.

So far, the two stars that have been most closely connected to the Cavs are San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard and Charlotte Hornets point guard Kemba Walker.

The Cavs' front office led by Altman entered the draft in the dark on James' plans.

The Cavs' public interest in Sexton dates back to January, when several of the team's staff members and owner Dan Gilbert scouted him in person in a highly anticipated matchup against fellow draft prospect Trae Young. "And what was really encouraging about the workout is he actually shot it a lot better".

At different points in the playoffs, all three players looked overmatched, but that's one of the great things about youth - there's always room to improve.

He made the most controversial switch of his career in 2010, when he chose to play for Miami Heat after leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers, a move which resulted in him making it to 4 consecutive National Basketball Association finals, where 2 of those finals resulted in 2 consecutive National Basketball Association championship victories.

If there's no good landing spot or flawless landing spot for him then Cleveland maybe turns out by default to be the best place.

Additionally, he was named the AP Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-SEC this past season, while the league's coaches voted him as the SEC Freshman of the Year and to the All-Freshman squad and All-SEC second team. Although it is likely too late in the game to try to alter The King's mindset, Cleveland could put some added pressure into his thought process altogether.

Cleveland's draft decisions tonight will not only have a lasting influence on LeBron's future, but they will also have an immediate impact on the entire state of OH as well. He attended Game 4, and as he witnessed James, Kevin Durant and others competing at the highest level the game offers, Sexton could imagine one day being part of the action.
