Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL smartphones are expected to launch sometime in October, but leaks have already began to pick up pace. The report notes that Google is reportedly in talks with Foxconn to handle assembly.
The new devices will feature dual front-facing cameras and an upgraded camera on the back.
Both models will actually include an upgraded, single-lens cameras on the back.
Google launched its previous Pixel phones around October so the Pixel 3 could be due for a similar release date in 2018.
Google's Pixel smartphones are widely regarded as some of the best Android-based devices, but they continue to lag far behind Apple Inc.'s iPhone and products from Samsung Electronics Co.in sales and market share. It's said that the Pixel 3 will have a design similar to the Pixel 2, meaning no edge-to-edge display. Hardware designing and software is being done in-house by the HTC team of engineers it acquired earlier this year. You can react to that however you see fit, but since Kellen and I have both been using phones with top notches this year, we can assure you that it's not as bad as you might want to believe. The Pixel 3, referred to as Google GC1 will most likely come with specs present in other flagships. The larger phone is designed with a almost edge-to-edge screen, except for a thicker bezel known as a chin at the bottom of the phone.
If this week's revelations prove to be accurate, it'd be somewhat surprising LG is getting another shot, given the problems the Pixel 2 XL had with the company's OLED display. The image at the top of this post shows one of Phone Designer's renders comparing his visions of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, and another one can be seen below.
