Games often get delayed to improve the final product, one of the most famous examples being The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, which was lauded as one of the best video games of all time following its eventual release.
Explaining the reason behind the delay, 4A Games (the franchise creator) and publisher Deep Silver, in a joint statement, said the game is "progressing well" and that they are "really excited by what we are seeing".
THQ Nordic has shared some details about a few of its biggest upcoming games.
The story of the game will follow the events of Metro: Last Light and Metro 2033.
It's unlikely that they'll reveal an actual release date at E3, but then again maybe they will. Like the previous Metro games, the Metro Exodus can also be expected to become popular among the gamers, especially, considering the trailers showed past year.
The announcement came from a press release by publisher THQ Nordic. However, a recent report to investors, THQ Nordic announced the new dates: now shooter should arrive in stores in the first quarter of 2019.
According to their execs they now have 54 projects in development, including new signings for inXile Entertainment's Wastelands 3 and The Bard's Tale 4.
