Their deal with 20 Century Fox often saw Manchester United stars turn up for awkward cameos but for once they get it right as Ryan Reynolds" "Deadpool' turns up and takes over Old Trafford to promote Deadpool 2. Without giving anything away, the film demands to be taken seriously at certain points, and that just doesn't fit with the rest of the movie. At the time, back in 2016, Deadpool shattered the record for the highest ever box office opening for a movie in February, hauling in more than $132 million in its opening weekend. The only time the banter slows is during an unexpectedly dark stretch near the end of the first act, but it picks up again as more characters enter the picture for Reynolds to bounce off.

Unfortunately the new sequel, Deadpool 2, which opens Thursday night, doesn't have enough of too much; less charitable viewers might even argue that it has too much of not enough. The best villainous hero of Hollywood. Other characters you liked from the last film resurface, too, including Vanessa (Morena Baccarin), Colossus (Stefan Kapicic) and Dopinder the cab driver (Karan Soni).

The release of Deadpool 2 is upon us. Yeah, he was fun that first time out. Not only that, but they don't just give the fans what they think they want. Deadpool himself breaks the fourth wall by speaking to the audience (pointing out foreshadowings and clumsy plot-points) and sometimes addressing an unseen movie crew, as when he yells, "Hit it, Dolly!" before killing a roomful of people to the strains of Dolly Parton's upbeat hit "9 to 5". Hired guns - as they do - interrupt the festivities and when the dust has settled, the love of his life is dead. He is the flawless straight man to Reynolds' outlandish Deadpool.

Shioli Kutsuna and Brianna Hildebrand star in the 2018 film "Deadpool 2". Seems Russell will one day become a mass killer and he's the one responsible for murdering Cable's wife and daughter.

Brolin told Yahoo Movies that he was "scared" to do the role having already appeared as Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and taking centre-stage in the latest film, Avengers: Infinity War.

He also danced in heels alongside Celine Dion to advertise the film, elegantly twirling around her with sleek and sexy moves - all while sporting stilettos.

Directed by David Leitch, the action is pretty run-of-the-mill.

Worse still, some of the fight scenes, particularly the ones with Cable and Deadpool, come off as lazy and boring. He can't. Like the first film, "Deadpool 2" is filled with crude jokes and bloody violence, but it isn't genuinely subversive.

It's not a total wash, though.
