We still don't have a release date at this time, though we do know that Beyond Good and Evil 2 will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
Ubisoft delighted everyone past year, at E3 2017, when they premiered a cinematic trailer for Beyond Good & Evil 2.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is one of Ubisoft's most anticipated games, and today, we got a bunch of details on the story, gameplay, character customization, and more.
As for the ships, we get to see a little bit of jetpack action as the characters fly throughout the game world. He explains, "you can board the ship trying to fight your through the different rooms and you have your jetpack so you can jump and escape", which sounds incredibly handy. It's a huge departure from the first game where players assumed the role of Jade, but this prequel will share the gritty bones of the dark world she was birthed into. Microsoft's press conference takes place on Sunday, June 11, at 1 PM Pacific, and you can be sure GameSpot will be here to cover it for you. This pre-alpha footage is shown with commentary from Ubisoft's Jean-Marc Geffroy, the Creative Manager, and Michel Ancel, the Senior Creative Director. You'd still have a crew with specialized abilities that you'd have to order around, though it's unclear if these will be NPCs or controllable characters. You don't even play as a named character, but one you create yourself that can be male or female.
As far as combat goes, once again, you'll have a sort of bow-staff as an available weapon.
Beyond Good and Evil 2 is more of a spiritual successor to the cult classic.
