Season 4 is here and everyone is rejoicing as the meteor has finally crash landed on Dusty Depot, turning one of the hangars into rubble and bringing down anti-gravity consumables with it.
Epic Games has announced Season 4 of Fortnite has officially kicked off with hundreds of new rewards for players to unlock via the Season 4 Battle Pass, and more. Shards of a massive comet have crashed into the map altering the landscape.
Get hyped folks, season 4 of Fortnite is here.
Instead, the most damage has been done to Dusty Depot, which has been replaced with a crater. We should mention that season 3 increased the number of tiers that players needed to hit before being capped, but we don't think Epic Games is going to increase the number even further during season 4. If you bought the Battle Pass for Season 3, you'll have a 10-star head start on the rest of the bodies flying out of the back of the Battle Bus. One of the biggest draws will undoubtedly be Season 4 since it is full of the coolest looking loot in the game.
The game itself can be downloaded for free for any of the already mentioned platforms - PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Mac and iOS users on mobile.
In the game's overlooked Save the World mode, there's a new event that requires you to investigate the impact of the comet and recruit superheroes that were seemingly created by the radiation rays that trailed the falling debris.
The area is called Hop Rocks, and - fittingly enough - if you go there you'll find some glowing rocks that you can eat up and gain the ability to fly.
For the complete list of changes you can check out the official guide here. That's right, no more destroying high structures to get over them.
Save the World, the original co-op survival mode, also saw some huge changes brought into play including loot drops from fallen enemies.
May 1st marked the start of the first week in Season 4 and Epic Games have now released seven new challenges for players to attempt.
