Bucs' 2018 Preseason Gets National Spotlight

The Dallas Cowboys will return to Levi's Stadium for a fourth straight year, this time for the 49ers' exhibition-season opener between August 9 and 13. For the second straight season, the Saints are headed out to the StubHub Center to play Los Angeles, and that game will take place at 7 p.m. on August 25 in a game that will be televised by CBS. The only specific date for a game was August 30 against Tennessee, although kickoff time wasn't scheduled.

The NFL regular-season schedule is expected to be released next week. Rarely a harbinger of how the regular season will play out, the Giants finished the 2017 exhibition slate with a 2-2 record.

The anticipation for the 2018 NFL season, which starts September 6, can begin after the league announced the full 65-game preseason schedule Wednesday.

Preseason games are a nice way for the fans to get a glimpse of new players and a sense of what the coaches are planning to implement for the upcoming season.

There will be five nationally-televised games on the third week of the preseason, starting with the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles against the Cleveland Browns on FOX at 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, Aug. 23.

The NFL released the full preseason schedule all 32 teams today. Exact date and time for the game has yet to be determined.

Any guesses as to which four teams the Steelers will play this year during the preseason? They lead the preseason series with Atlanta 6-4. The Seahawks will then finish their preseason with a home game against the Oakland Raiders, the 13th consecutive Week 4 exhibition matchup between those two teams due to their close geographical proximity to each other.

The Texans haven't faced the Rams in the preseason since 2006, when Houston won 27-20.

Carolina plays Miami for the sixth time overall, and fourth time at home, in the preseason.

A 2017 National Football League rule change got rid of the two-part roster cutdown that forced teams to trim their rosters from 90 players to 75 between the third and fourth preseason game weeks.
