Spinning off as part of The CW's "Arrowverse", the show brings together a ragtag group of heroes, villains, and some people who slot right in-between, all whom have to put their differences aside and come together if they're to save the world from a awful fate.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Constantine star Matt Ryan has signed on to play the antihero as a series regular in the fourth season of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. He subsequently reprised his titular role as the trench coat-wearing Hellblazer during the fourth season of Arrow, and then made his Legends debut earlier this season.
With Constantine likely becoming a full-time Legend, he will continue to inject awkward and amusing complications in Sara and Ava's (Jes Macallan) relationship (which was over by the latest episode, by the way) because of his hook-up with the Waverider captain his previous appearance "Daddy Darkhest". Despite the show's cancellation, John Constantine proved to be a hugely popular character, and the CW brought him back for a guest spot on Arrow last season. Maybe this is a sign that season 4 also will feature the occult - or, maybe the writers of the series really just wanted a chance to have a little bit of fun with this character. This does not come as a shock seeing that many fans consider the series the best among the current Arrowverse shows for embracing its craziness and basking in its comic book campiness. With that, Legends of Tomorrow season 4 seems like a pretty certain thing.
