There was a Sonic panel at the SXSW Conference this morning and there were some reveals - one of which was Sonic Mania Plus. Unless you're a huge Sonic fan, you probably haven't. The competition mode of Sonic Mania Plus will also be expanded with four-player support.
Sonic Mania is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Buyers will get the Sonic Mania game, plus additional content including a new Encore mode.
Sonic Mania Plus also adds a new "Encore Mode", which freshens up existing levels with visuals changes, alongside "new ways to play, and new ways to explore". It had three players using trackballs to control Sonic and two new characters, Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Flying Squirrel. Both debuted in the 1993 isometric arcade spin-off, SegaSonic the Hedgehog, and most recently had a cameo in Sonic Generations.

Then, to the surprise of many, a silhouetted logo appeared with only a bright red "R" being lit up. However, a source who previously leaked information about Sonic Forces said that the new Sonic Racing game was meant to be released this first quarter, but is now looking like it will be launched in the holiday season.
In addition, a Sonic Mania Adventures YouTube series of five minute short cartoons will be released.
