Maxis offers a “free” Galaxy S8 when you get a Galaxy S9 or S9+ on contract

The new Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus is seen during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona February 27, 2018. $350 off each device would be a worse deal than the buy-one-get-one that Verizon is now offering, and that's not taking into account the fact that you have to trade in a $500 smartphone just to get the deal. As usual, there are a couple of caveats here.

Two new smartphones from Samsung has been spotted on Geekbench benchmarking website with codename SM-A600N and SM-A605 G. These unknown smartphones spotted on the Geekbench website could be the Galaxy A6 and A6 Plus which are yet to be announced from Samsung. It is applicable if you sign up for a normal 24-months contract of MaxisONE Plan 188 (RM188/month) with an additional MaxisONE Share line of RM48/month.

Though Samsung's response to this problem has been quick, it's still one that shouldn't have happened in the first place. 2nd phone of equal or lesser value: $799.99 promo credit applied to account over 24 mos, starting w/in 1-2 billing cycles; promo credit ends when balance paid or line terminated; 0% April. Both of which are sporting Quad HD+ Super AMOLED display, with the Snapdragon 845 under the hood. Additionally, it comes with an expanded 6GB RAM and 3500 mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Price in India is Rs. 57,900 for 64GB model and Rs. 65,900 for 256GB model.

Recombu's Chris Barraclough praised the smart camera tech and superb performance, saying the phone provides a "premium everyday experience", concluding "the Galaxy S9 is a sexy, lovable bundle of seriously premium tech, and it should certainly stand the test of time". It sports a dual camera setup - sporting two 12-megapixel sensors - while the Galaxy S9 has a single 12-megapixel camera.
