Everyone's favorite plumber (and yes, he's a plumber again) can be activated by opening Google Maps and hitting the 8-bit question block icon, which prompts a pop up asking if commuters want to activate Mario mode.
To activate Mario Time, enter a destination and request directions in Google Maps.
The mustachioed plumber will also make an appearance in Google Maps' navigation, if the users opt in to have Mario to accompany them on the journey. This year Google has gotten in on the fun with a neat addition to the Google Maps app.
This is far from the first time that Google Maps has participated in gaming-inspired map themes, most of which have been Nintendo-related. However, it is important that your Maps app is updated. That's why March 10 is officially Mario Day!
Today is March 10, which if you write as MAR10, kind of looks like Mario. You can see have Mario drive around while following the route.
Apart from this, Nintendo has also reduced the pricing of the Mario Run game for both the platforms with 50% of discount on its base price. There is a catch for now - users won't be playing a game, but instead will see the app's arrow turn into Mario.
