The Horde and the Alliance face off in Blizzard Entertainment's World of Warcraft Battle for Azeroth

Late previous year, Blizzard announced WoW's next expansion, pitting the horde and alliance forces against each other once again in the "Battle for Azeroth".

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth will continue the story of the ongoing fight between the Horde and the Alliance.

If you're ready to hit the ground running ahead of Battle for Azeroth's release, you can preorder the expansion now from Blizzard for $49.99 for the standard edition, or $69.99 for the Digital Deluxe edition.

Blizzard are also offering special perks to those who pre-order Battle for Azeroth, including a level 110 character boost. Pre-orders went live earlier today, along with a delightfully open release date of "on or before September 21".

What's more, the pre-purchase will also allow players to start unlocking Nightborne Elves, Hightmountain Tauren, Void Elves, and Lightforged Draenei, four of the six new Allied Races being introduced with Battle for Azeroth.

If you are looking to unlock a Heritage Armor set for your new character, you must level that character up from 20 to 110 without any outside influence like faction/race changing, and the Recruit-A-Friend program.

-Hearthstone®: After a rough day on the front, rest up at the tavern and play a few hands of Hearthstone with your hot new Azeroth Is Burning card back. Everyone can enjoy the adorable baby Tortollan pet.

Overwatch: Champion your faction on the battlefields of tomorrow with Horde and Alliance voice lines for Torbjörn and emotes for Tracer; sprays featuring Anduin, Sylvanas, Jaina, and Varok Saurfang; and player icons representing Kul Tiras and Zandalar. Considering Battle for Azeroth seems to be focused on bringing the conflict between the Alliance and the Horde back to the forefront, the reference is probably a telling sign of things to come. In Starcraft II, you'll get Horde and Alliance sprays.

Heroes of the Storm: You can ride into battle on a Primal Flamesaber mount, available in green, white, and toast colours.
