The app is available in Indonesa, Italy, Mexico, the United States and UK from today, with the promise of more countires to come, but is Android-only at the time being. "For example, by making it easier for businesses to respond to customers, separating customer and personal messages, and creating an official presence".

Using Whatsapp Business app, business users will be able to manage business profiles to provide customers with useful information like a description or store address.

If a user tries to restore a WhatsApp Messenger back up to WhatsApp Business, the former app won't be able to restore the same back up on the Messenger. WhatsApp users will know if they're talking to a business when they see that it's listed as a Business Account.

WhatsApp is planning to confirm businesses over time, so look out for a green checkmark next to an account's name.

Obviously because WhatsApp messenger has proven to be a very useful tool for most, we don't expect anything less from the new WhatsApp Business.

"People will continue to have full control over the messages they receive, with the ability to block any number, including businesses, as well as report spam", the company added.

"In today's world, everyone has WhatsApp and they prefer using it more than any other messaging app to stay connected". So if you want to have a verified Whatsapp business account you can download the Whatsapp for business app from the Google Play.

Facebook-owned messaging giant Whatsapp has launched a new app targeted for businesses, known as "WhatsApp Business". Now, they will have a dedicated app for their business, with similar ease and functionality.

Messaging Tools: WhatsApp Business will have smart messaging tools with quick replies, providing fast answers to questions that people ask often.

You should, therefore, be wary if a Business account with a grey badge in its profile tries to contact you, even it appears to be associated with a company you know. However, since then, fake versions of the app have been doing rounds on the web, the latest version of which was available in November.
