In the metro region, temperatures failed to break out of the low 20s, which combined with gusty winds out of the northwest (15-25 mph) to create wind chills in the single digits. So make sure you bundle up if you plan to be outside. The kickoff temp of 14 won't rival the 2004 game against the Titans, but with wind chills around 0, it'll be a tailgate battle to stay warm.
Dangerously cold wind chills are expected, which will cause frostbite in as little as 10 minutes to exposed skin. Expect wind chills are expected to range from 10 below zero to 25 below zero for portions of northern IN, southwest MI and northwest Ohio.

The National Weather Service has wind chill advisories in effect across in on New Year's Eve. We tied the old record of 12 degrees from all the way back in 1899! Forecasters say the potential exists for multiple nights of subzero low temperatures and wind chills.
