Star Wars A New Hope actor Alfie Curtis- who played Dr Evazan- has died aged 87

Alfie Curtis will be best remembered for his small memorable Star Wars role

He has other films and TV shows to his credit, including The Elephant Man and The Wildcats of St. Trinian's.

He accompanied it with a amusing artwork of a sketch showing Fisher, who passed away suddenly a year ago, in robes and a crown, carrying her famous french bulldog, Gary Fisher, in one hand as she stuck up the middle finger of the other.

"We are wanted men".

One of the first to tweet his condolences was Mark Hamill, widely known for his Luke Skywalker part. The character name may not ring a bell, but you'd remember the face - he was the angry guy in the Mos Eisley cantina who threatened Luke. "As horrific as he was on-camera, off-camera he was amusing, kind & a real gentleman", Hamill - who stars in most recent Star Wars film The Last Jedi - wrote.

Alfie Curtis was born in London in 1930.

Hoards of fans have taken to Twitter to mourn the actor's death. Do you recollect the Star Wars scene? "The bar scene in #StarWars remains one of the coolest sequences ever committed to film".

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is now playing in theaters. "I don't like you either" is still the best delivered". "Even STAR WARS itself ripped it off, attempting to top it on several times only to fall short of the original's ramshackle magic", another wrote.

According to the BBC, news of Curtis' death broke Tuesday evening (12/26). A cause of death has yet to be revealed.
