The win marks the 48th time a Missouri Lottery player has won a $1 million Powerball "Match 5" prize since January 2012. That player also played the Megaplier option which increased the winnings to $4 million. No ticket matched all six numbers drawn Tuesday night: 10, 12, 20, 38, 41, and the Mega Ball 25. That was the largest prize won in the state.
With no victor again - the prize jumps to $306 million for Friday's drawing, the biggest since it reached 393 million back in August.
Powerball is played in 44 states, as well as Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The odds of picking the correct numbers on five white balls and one yellow ball in the Mega Millions game are one in 259 million. Tickets cost $2 each.
It's been 18 Powerball drawings with no victor.
The jackpot for Wednesday night's Powerball drawing is now estimated at $337 million. Deadline is 7:08 p.m. that day.
And there's another big jackpot up for grabs Wednesday.
