Winter is Here, Steam Winter Sale is Live

Along with all the games that are on sale, voting for the annual Steam Awards is also live once again. Head over to Steam and load up that cart for Winter.

Several of the games on sale are also up for Steam's top honor: a Steam Award. Other digital games distribution platforms have opened up sale periods already, such as Microsoft, GOG, and the Humble Store but probably the second most attractive sale now for PC owners will be Origin Holiday Sale, full of EA's blockbuster titles. Earlier on Thursday, 21 December 2017, Valve announced that they have officially kicked off the annual Winter sale for Steam. The Steam Link can be yours for $4.99, a 90% discount, while the Steam Controller and Link bundle is available for $34.63. These include the Season Pass that allows players to access a number of post-launch downloadable contents for only $38.24, a 55 percent discount. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, victor of Best Action Game, is now only $29.99.

Although not exactly game deals, some Steam hardware has been discounted quite heavily this sale as well. The sale will be going on for two weeks. The Steam Controller Wireless Receiver is regular price now ($12.99), but the Steam Controller Battery Door is 50-percent off at $4.99 Dollars. The sale will run from now until 1pm ET on 4th January 2018.

Valve is not just offering big gaming deals. Apart from being able to vote for their favorites, players will also get one trading card for every ballot cast. GTAV,Dark Souls III, Divinity: Original Sin 2, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt GotY Edition, South Park: The Fractured But Whole, and Counter-Strike: Global Offense have reduced prices that are anywhere from 10% to 75% off.
