As long as the gameplay is fun, which it does in the brief moments we see, this could help revitalize the franchise. As was the case with Bandai Namco's Tekken 7, the fighter is set to uses the Unreal Engine 4. The on-screen action has all the classic Soulcalibur-flavored flair fans are looking for, not to mention shields, swords, axes, and special abilities.

The first Soulcalibur game hit arcades in 1998, with its famous Dreamcast port following in 1999. The most recent installment, SoulCalibur V, landed on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012. Soulcalibur VI tunes the battle, movement, and visual systems so players can execute visceral and dynamic attacks easily.
