MBB Triumphs at Iowa 77-73

Penn State is a ideal 6-0 in the Fiesta Bowl. Curtis Enis was the offensive player of the game, while Brandon Noble was the defensive player of the game.

This is Penn State's seventh appearance in the Fiesta Bowl, which is the most of any bowl in program history. "I hope we have enough tickets for everybody".

No major bowl game has treated Penn State better than the Fiesta, where the Lions are 6-0, including their last national championship victory over Miami at the end of the 1986 season.

Penn State never trailed in the contest and led by eight points with 4:43 left in the game, but two quick scores by Hawkeyes Jordan Bohannan and Isaiah Moss in the next 25 seconds sliced the Nittany Lion lead to three, 67-64.

Plenty of projections had Penn State facing off against Washington in the postseason.

Penn State surprisingly received an invitation Sunday to play Washington in the Fiesta Bowl Dec. 30 in Glendale, Ariz. The Lions' last trip to the game came in the 1996 season, a 38-15 win over Texas. The Nittany Lions went 7-2 in the Big Ten, while the Huskies went 7-2 in Pac-12 play.
