An apparent "ongoing" issue of his meniscus popping in and out likely means Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett will need surgery - which would be best both for his short-term and long-term future. J.K. Dobbins started the late drive with a six-yard run and then Mike Weber broke free for a 35-yard touchdown by getting a good burst of speed and having the ideal angle to use to his advantage.

Haskins led Ohio State down the field after Barrett's injury, setting up Dobbins' 1-yard touchdown run with a 22-yard scamper.

At 10-2 and now ranked No. 9 in the College Football Playoff rankings, the Buckeyes have an opportunity to play their way in to the playoff if they can pull off a victory over No. 5 Wisconsin in the Big Ten championship game next Saturday in Indianapolis.

Earlier in the drive, the Buckeyes faced a pair of third-and-four attempts, as running back Mike Weber rushed for five yards, and then, Haskins completed a 29-yard pass to sophomore wide receiver K.J. Hill that moved the ball from Ohio State's 43-yard line to Michigan's 28.

Michigan will wait to learn what bowl game they will be playing in after finishing the season in fourth place in the Big Ten East with losses to Ohio State, Michigan State, and Penn State (and Wisconsin). Barrett has totaled more than 11,000 yards and 142 touchdowns combined rushing and passing in his career.

It appears Michigan fifth-year senior quarterback John O'Korn will start for the Wolverines against Ohio State at Michigan Stadium.

On the Buckeyes' next drive, he drove the team 47 yards to set up a 44-yard field goal that extended the lead to 24-20.

The Wolverines entered halftime tied, but the outcome could have been more favorable after 30 minutes. Three Michigan defenders had a bead on the ball, but it was Barrett who recovered.

The Buckeyes, who were held to minus 6 yards in the first quarter, answered with a 75-yard scoring drive. According to head coach Urban Meyer, Barrett was hit on the sideline by a cameraman.

Khalid Hill's 2-yard scoring run capped a 13-play, 77-yard MI drive in the opening quarter. He went out with MI leading 20-14 in the third.

MI began the drive at the OSU 5 after a 42-yard punt return from Donovan Peoples-Jones and a holding penalty on the Buckeyes.
