3 takeaways from the loss to Wisconsin

Best College GameDay Signs From Week 12: Wisconsin vs. Michigan

Badgers stay undefeated with 24-10 win over Michigan, make case for playoff spot

Immediately following an interception that allowed MI to take a lead late in the third quarter, a UW offense that had managed less than 100 total yards to that point produced four plays of more than 20 yards over two consecutive touchdown drives, leading the fifth-ranked Badgers to a 24-10 victory over the Wolverines and their first 11-0 start in program history.

That led to a 39-yard field goal, giving MI a 10-7 lead with 6 minutes, 36 seconds remaining in the third quarter.

Late in the third quarter, Wisconsin redshirt junior linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel smoked Peters into the ground on third down.

We wish Peters nothing but the best as he recovers from what appeared to be quite a serious injury. However, the Wolverines have been resurgent, and are on a three-game win streak. "He'll be ready to go for next week".

After redshirting a year, Hornibrook turned in a solid freshman campaign with 1,262 yards and nine touchdowns to seven interceptions. Facing intense pressure from the MI front seven, Hornibrook made a pair of brilliant throws to key the third quarter touchdown drive to give Wisconsin the lead for good and found Danny Davis III on a long pass later in the frame to help the Badgers score again. "As far as the fumble, that was a mistake". But despite barely being able to move the ball for a significant chunk of the afternoon, the Badgers took control in the final quarter and half.

"In the huddle, we said we were going to do it for BP", running back Chris Evans said.

After taking that 10-7 lead, MI managed a total of 39 yards on its final four possessions.

Michigan's only touchdown came on an 84-yard drive, capped by a 1-yard score by fullback Ben Mason that tied the game at 7 with 2:24 left in the first half. It was his first career carry and first career touchdown. The Badgers got a huge boost from their special teams unit with 1:15 to go in the first quarter, as Nick Nelson ran a MI punt back 50 yards to go up 7-0.

· MI now has three different fullbacks with touchdowns this season: Mason, fifth-year senior Khalid Hill and fifth-year senior Henry Poggi.

· Michigan's 58 yards rushing is a season low. If the protection holds up - a big if - this seems like a game the Wolverines can steal.

If Peters can not play next week against Ohio State (noon, FOX), then expect O'Korn to make his sixth start of the season.
