Interestingly, all four of the heroes in a half shell will join the Injustice 2 roster, which will have cool gameplay implications.
They aren't the first non-DC or NetherRealm characters included as DLC for the game either.
The announcement trailer was revealed at Eleague's Injustice 2 World Championships where Ryan "Dragon" Walker took home the trophy and $150,000 (£114k). They could easily be a fun addition to the game, providing some offbeat style and humor, but with a number of big name DC characters still highly anticipated, the DC portion of the game's roster will need some attention in order to satisfy fan expectations.
If you already bought the Injustice 2: Ultimate Edition you'll automatically have access to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Atom and the other chick, but otherwise you'll be able to grab them up in the Fighter Pack 3 DLC.
It is unclear if all four of the turtles will be playable as separate characters or, as Leo puts it in the trailer, "We fight as a team" in the game. There had been some serious guessing games going on as NetherRealm fans tossed ideas around about who could be coming to Injustice 2. The PC release will include all previously released DLC for the game on the console versions available at purchase.
Now, as for when we'll be getting these fighters, Atom is set to premiere December 12th, and will be followed by Enchantress in January, and the Ninja Turtles in February.
