Police searching for armed person at TCU, officials urge students to seek shelter

Texas Christian University was put on high ready and under lockdown for a brief span Tuesday morning after reports of an "equipped individual on grounds".

The Fort Worth Police confirmed Tuesday morning that two employees of the Roadrunner Shuttle service TCU uses got into an argument that led to one employee "firing a shot at the other employee".

"If an all clear has not been given before your 8 a.m. class, then please stay sheltered", the university said on Twitter.

"Look for safe house instantly", the college said in a web-based social networking message just before 7:30 a.m.

Police found the suspect's bus off-campus a short time before he was arrested.

The shot missed, but the suspect struck the other person while driving away in his shuttle bus.

The school sent out a campus-wide alert to all students and faculty: "TCU Alert - Armed person on campus".
