Pearce, who was at London Stadium for Saturday's 4-1 defeat by Liverpool, said: "I've had not contact".

West Ham United parted company with Slaven Bilic on Monday following a disappointing start to the 2017-18 Premier League season.

"I think we've got a good squad".

Fanatik report Fenerbahce are interested in the former West Ham manager if they look to replace current coach Aykut Kocaman.

Hours after Bilic departed West Ham, he was already linked with the Fenerbahce job by the Turkish outlet Fotomac.

Alvaro Arbeloa tweeted "better late than never" as the news broke that the struggling London club had chose to part ways with the manager who guided them to a seventh-placed finish two seasons ago.

Moyes has been out of management since he resigned from his post Sunderland at the end of last season, having failed to prevent the northeast club being relegated from the Premier League.

"I'm looking forward to seeing them getting right behind the team and my team also. I've got no doubts about that, but ultimately we have to show it on the pitch", he added. "The first thing is to win the next game and build from there, and I'm sure we will be in a much stronger position before long".

"He is highly regarded and respected within the game, and will bring fresh ideas, organisation and enthusiasm".

It is unlikely he will take up the offer for Moyes' first home fixture against Leicester on November 24.

Moyes enjoyed a successful 11-year reign as Everton manager, a spell that earned him the job as Alex Ferguson's replacement at Manchester United.

"He proved with Everton that he has great qualities and we feel that West Ham United is a club that will give David the platform to display those qualities again".
