Pakistan's isolation began when a 2009 militant attack on the Sri Lankan team's bus in Lahore left six security personnel and two civilians dead while six players were injured.

"Lankan team has visited Pakistan after nine years and it is a special moment in Pakistan cricket history", he said adding, "with the return of global cricket more teams will also visit Pakistan in due course of time".

Newbie all rounder Faheem Ashraf got himself registered in the record books last night, after he became the first Pakistani to score a hat-trick in T20 cricket. If the team maintain its winning scheme even for the third and final T20 match then Sarfraz Ahmed's (Captain Pakistan team), dream of holding winner's trophy in the home ground would come real.

"I can not forget that terrible day when the Sri Lankan team was attacked", said cricket enthusiast Altaf Akram. He also added that it's a special moment in his career to perform at Gaddafi stadium opposite to Sri Lanka's team who are visiting Pakistan after like a gap of eight years.

Worldwide cricket returned to the country after a period of 8 years and 7 months with Pakistan taking on Sri Lanka in the final T20I at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday. "So we have sent this team and hopefully this will not stop"- Sumathipala.

Security measures have been tightened in places where the teams are residing and at the stadium ahead of the match. Jacob Oram and Tim Southee secured hat-tricks against Sri Lanka and Pakistan respectively.

Plans to bring cricket to other Pakistani cities are also underway with four domestic T20 fixtures from the Pakistan Super League (PSL) competition planned in southern metropolis Karachi.
