Samsung found the most interesting way to remind us of the Note 7

Amid ongoing speculation about Samsung's plan to roll out Android 8.0 Oreo update to its devices, the company has just made an unexpected move in India.

There is a kids mode with exclusive content, videos and games as well as a subscription service called Samsung Kids on the tablet. According to "The Bell", the South Korean company might release the new smartphone in January 2018. And like the rumored Galaxy S8 beta, the Galaxy S7 Nougat beta came with some restrictions.

While the 2018 date is to be for the final release of updates, there's a chance the company opens up its beta-testing program, Galaxy Beta, soon, especially as previous iterations of Android were beta-tested around November.

While the Galaxy S8 Android Oreo beta sits in limbo, Samsung is clearly working on its Android 8.0 Oreo update behind the scenes.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) is nearly ready to make its debut in the US.

While devices like the Galaxy S8, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S7, and the rumored Galaxy S9 will nearly certainly run Android Oreo at some point, some popular devices could miss out on the upgrade. Samsung is one of them. Needless to say, it is very disappointing that Samsung is going to take nearly half a year to complete the Oreo update rollout even for its flagship models. Sign-ups will be carried away via the Samsung Members and Samsung+ apps.
