Katy Perry was riding a little too high during her Nashville concert!
During her performance in Nashville on Wednesday, the planetary stage stayed in the air, which was great for scientific accuracy but not so much for Perry, who was just stuck hanging there.
She continued, "What should I do?"
"This is the first time I've been stuck in space". As her crew worked out how to get her down, Perry added: "You'd better put your phones up, it's a YouTube moment!". "I guess I'm just gonna have to get down and walk amongst my people", she said before clumsily jumping into the crowd and being escorted back to the stage. Katy then jokingly sang the title of the Ethel Merman song, There's No Business Like Show Business. At one moment, the prop got stuck and it wouldn;t bring her down anymore.
Perry's fans didn't seem to mind the diversion, applauding as she told them, "This is not how the show is [supposed to be] going, and you love it".
Every night so far on her Witness World Tour, Perry has sat down on a giant foam model of the planet Saturn and strummed her acoustic guitar for a couple of her quieter songs.
The 32-year-old singer's love for outlandish and elaborate props backfired at her Witness show in Nashville when her Saturn platform got stuck in midair.
Just last week, Perry helped a gay couple get engaged on stage at the Barclay's Center on National Coming Out Day.
