With Snapdragon 835, 6GB RAM the new launch also provides 12 GB variant.
When Xiaomi entered India in July 2014 via online marketplace Flipkart, it actually started with the Mi 3, which at the time, could be seen as one of the Chinese smartphone company's top-end phones. The device is available for pre-orders exclusively on Flipkart starting from October 17. The company has launched Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 in India. There's also a front-facing camera which is oddly placed at the right-hand bottom corner of the phone to maintain the Mi Mix 2's edge-to-edge feel. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 features a ceramic body with a 7-Series aluminum frame and a 18K gold plated camera ring on the rear panel. The Xiaomi Mi A1 and Mi 5X are exactly similar, in terms of design and specs phones are completely identical. A 3400mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging is on board.
Powering Mi MIX 2 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 (64 bit) Octa-Core processor clocked at 2.45Ghz coupled with 6GB of RAM, and for gaming, it has an Adreno 540 GPU. While on the front, the handset has a 5MP shooter to take the selfies. However, it makes up for the loss of portrait modes or wide-angle photos with its incredible 4-axis OIS (optical image stabilization) technique. Xiaomi has also removed the piezo-electric speaker that was used in the Mi Mix and went with a usual speaker for the Mi Mix 2's earpiece. It runs Android Nougat 7.1 with MIUI 8 on top. What's even better is that the premium looks come at a very competitive price, but what it does miss out in pursuing that goal is a basic 3.5mm headphone jack. The Mi MIX 2 comes with dual SIM card slot and supports VoLTE connectivity.
On the connectivity front, the device offers 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Global Positioning System with AGS/GLONASS and USB Type C. Unfortunately the device lacks 3.5mm headphone jack but instead, the device will be shipped with a USB Type-C dongle.
