In all likelihood, Nintendo should offer a version identical to the one already available, but who knows if the japanese group will not benefit from the opportunity to propose a V2 with new built-in games.

Clear your schedule for summer 2018, because you may be spending an inordinate amount of time playing Nintendo NES Classic games.

The company produced 2.3 million of the miniature retro consoles worldwide before halting production, despite high demand and pre-orders selling out at major retailers like JB Hi-Fi and EB Games. "We have paid close attention to consumer feedback, and we greatly appreciate the incredible level of consumer interest and support for this product", Nintendo said back in April.

Nintendo is responding to overwhelming demand by bringing the NES Classic Edition consoles back to store shelves in 2018, promises more Super NES Classic Edition shipments too.

Its success prompted company officials to launch their new mini console, the SNES Classic edition, which will have games from the Super Nintendo era. This includes familiar titles like "Super Mario", "Donkey Kong", "Metroid", "Mega Man", "Pac-Man", and "The Legend of Zelda".

But Nintendo promises it will be easier to get your hands on this one. In March, Nintendo launched its latest gaming system - the Nintendo Switch - which works as both a TV-linked console and a handheld portable device. New units of the NES Classic-the first Nintendo gaming system to be released in the US back in 1985-won't be available until summer of 2018 at Best Buy, GameStop and a number of other retailers.
