Bennett couldn't get to his assigned room, but he did have access - somewhat surprisingly - to the Packers locker room.
Bennett, 30, will be entering his first season with Green Bay after previous stints with the Cowboys, Giants, Bears, and Patriots.
He now lives in Chicago and posted on Instagram that he wanted to tuck his daughter into bed before leaving saying "I will always be a father first".
It seems you are out of luck if you a member of the Green Bay Packers.
In the video, Bennett wondered whether there might be ghosts at Lambeau Field and likened it to a classic horror movie. "Camp life, day one".
In the afternoon hours the next day, Packers coach Mike McCarthy was asked about Bennett's night of rest on the locker room floor.
"I didn't check", McCarthy said to reporters Wednesday. After missing the time to check in to his dorm, Bennett was locked out with no place to sleep. "Honestly. I should've told somebody I'd be getting in late tonight". Well, the guy slept on the floor in front his locker the night before camp got underway...
While it probably wasn't a fun night for Bennett, he at least learned his lesson.
