Taiwanese smartphone maker ASUS is set to launch smartphone ‘Zenfone AR

Asus declares price reduction up to Rs 3000 for its Zenfone 3 series

There is an 8MP selfie camera and as mentioned there is a 23MP main camera with dual-tone LED Flash with f/2.0 aperture, 6p Largan lens, 4-axis OIS, 3-axis EIS and Laser autofocus. However, the battery provides outstanding performance, with ASUS claiming up to 46 days of standby on 4G LTE, 40 hours on 3G talk time, 22 hours of video playback, and 26 hours of Wi-Fi browsing.

Asus, Taiwanese smartphone manufacture, has reduced the costs of its Zenfone 3 Max and Zenfone 3 range of smartphones in India. However, either of them are coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and 16/32/64GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via microSD card.

The Asus ZenFone AR was made official at CES back in January and the handset comes with a 5.7 inch display with a WQHD resolution and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and 256GB of storage. One variant comes with 1.4GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 425 processor with 500MHz Adreno 308 GPU and the other has 1.4 GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 430 Mobile Platform with Adreno 505 GPU. It has the ability of reverse charging and has a Super Saving mode that further improves the backup. Sensors on the device include a Fingerprint sensor (front-mounted), Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Ambient Light sensor, and Proximity sensor. For audio output, the phone houses 5-magnet speakers with NXP Smart Amp Amplifier.

The Asus ZenFone 4 Max comes in Black, Gold and Pink colors and starts at 13900 Ruble for 2GB RAM, 16GB storage variant. Dimensionally, the handset measures 154 x 76.9 x 8.9 mm and weighs 181 grams.

One thing to note is that the device has only been announced in Russian Federation so far, so a wider release at the end of the month is still likely, though we have no concrete info on the matter right now.

Asus had unveiled the world's first Tango-powered and Daydream-ready smartphone, the Zenfone AR at CES 2017 show held earlier this year in January. The pricing starts at 13900 Ruble (Rs 15,170) for the base variant and is likely to go on sale in Russian Federation soon.
