From fireworks displays to historical demonstrations, there are plenty of ways to celebrate America's independence this month in and around Mercer County. Do you have any to add to the list?

- Keystone - Independence Day Celebration: Live music, petting zoo, barbecue and more, with fireworks at 9:30 p.m., Keystone; facebook.com/keystone. Festivities will include a parade, fireworks, and music. Dirt Road Addiction will perform from 7 to 9 p.m. Fireworks are set to begin at 9:30 p.m. The event is only open to ID holders and their families unless they are sponsored by military or retirees.

Go Fourth on the River - Mississippi River at French Quarter and Algiers Point.

Bethesda's Kenwood Country Club will host its annual fireworks display on Thursday night. You will be able to view the fireworks from the parking lots at Commonwealth Stadium.

West Side Fireworks Extravangaza - Food trucks, games and more will be available leading up to the evening's fireworks show.

Look away from the cellphone this week, and you may just catch some fire in the sky, as Lancaster County celebrates the Fourth of July.

Marching bands, floats, Seafair pirates, 3 p.m. Tuesday, on Southwest 153rd between Ambaum Blvd. and Fourth Avenue Southwest, to Second Avenue Southwest to Southwest 152nd Street, on Fourth Avenue Southwest around Town Square, Burien (206-433-2882 or discoverburien.org). Park at the Hudson Oaks WalMart, exit 411 off of westbound I-20, and ride the free shuttle bus to the event. It's $5 to park.

The July 4 Fireworks following the Fourth of July Festival Downtown will be set off at UK's Arboretum. Treasure Chest Casino, 5050 Williams Boulevard, Kenner. The fireworks show begins at 9:35 p.m. rain or shine.

Honaker - Saturday- July 1 - 10 p.m. Free concert with huge fireworks display.

Town of Parrottsville fireworks showcase is Saturday, July 1. Live music and more. Music by the Santana tribute band Gringo Jingo starts at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks are scheduled to blast off at 9:15 p.m. Attendees can bring low lawn chairs and coolers, although alcohol is banned.

Shrine on Airline - The New Orleans Baby Cakes play the Omaha Stormchasers with a post-game fireworks show at the Shrine on Airline.

And, of course Nashville will host the mother of all Middle Tennessee July 4th celebrations beginning at noon featuring the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Jonny P, The Sisterhood, and the Nashville Symphony on stages at 5th and Broadway and at the Ascend Amphitheater (the symphony, during the fireworks). This year's fair features a WWE wrestling match, a magic show, pig races, live animals, food vendors and more.

Trains will run at near rush-hour frequency after 6 p.m. with off-peak fares all day. Tickets $3, children under 12 free.
